Connect channels, watch live pulse metrics, and reach order and inventory health.

Control Centre is your home dashboard. It carries live sales-channel cards and live pulse metrics, and it is the jumping-off point for the order and inventory health views.

Safe exploration

Control Centre includes a Start calmly reassurance card until the signed-in user chooses Dismiss. The dismissal is a per-user view preference that follows that user across browsers and devices; it does not remove the guidance from Getting started.

Opening pages, channel cards, filters, and docs links is safe exploration. Live changes happen only when you choose a clear action such as Connect, Publish, Send, Dispatch, Import, Delete, or Disconnect.

If a channel card looks empty or says it is awaiting connection, it is waiting for your first connection. That state does not mean signup went wrong. Fresh, unconnected sales-channel cards use neutral setup wording such as Connect eBay from this card. Warning wording is reserved for actual connection or refresh errors.

The Ask ChannelWeave what to do first action opens the full in-place AI assistant modal. ChannelWeave’s private the AI assistant is not a live-chat agent or email handoff. The same Orbit icon beside page titles opens AI assistant at any time. For this first-step action, AI assistant selects What should I do first?, replies with the remaining setup checklist items in priority order, links straight to the sales-channel cards when the first step is connecting a channel, and explains how to do it from Control Centre before offering Open full-page AI assistant for more room. Other Control Centre starter questions use the current Control Centre guide and account information rather than guessing from the wording alone.

The in-app Getting started page keeps the same reassurance card permanently, including the first-step AI assistant action, so dismissed guidance remains easy to find.

While setup is still useful, the Setup & onboarding card links to Getting started. Once progress exists, Continue getting started opens that page directly at the live setup checklist instead of returning to its introduction. The card's guidance follows the live checklist: before progress it suggests a small first action, during setup it names the next incomplete step, and when one step remains it says so plainly rather than repeating channel-connection advice. The card remains visible until the signed-in user's visible checklist reaches 100%. For users who can manage users, that includes either inviting a colleague or choosing Not now; the permanent Invite user action remains on the Users page.

Sales Channel cards and Discogs tools

Control Centre carries six connected sales-channel cards plus the Discogs tools card:

  • Amazon
  • eBay
  • Shopify
  • WooCommerce

  • POS (point of sale)
  • Discogs tools

The Discogs header wordmark is optically enlarged to balance the neighbouring channel identities. Its original artwork and proportions are preserved; this size adjustment applies only to Control Centre card headers.

The connected operational cards own:

  • Connection status and connected-since state
  • Live operational pulse metrics
  • A compact open orders · order value line
  • A message pill when unread Channel messages exist
  • Safe store or marketplace links
  • A sync-health dot for the latest successful sync/probe and unresolved failures
  • A sliders icon that opens the matching management panel
  • An activity icon that opens Events & diagnostics for that Channel

The Discogs card is intentionally different. Before any completed current listings import, it says Discogs tools, Manual CSV workflow and Import, review and prepare. After a reviewed CSV import is confirmed, it shows the number of canonical live Discogs Listings held by ChannelWeave and the latest completed import time. The count links to the matching filtered Listings view.

This is the local ChannelWeave snapshot created by the latest manual file handoff, not a live seller-account connection or sync result. The card does not show seller identity, connection controls, live Collection totals, orders, pricing or remote Marketplace state.

Sales orders (30 days) counts non-cancelled order headers recorded in ChannelWeave Sales for the relevant connected Channel during the rolling 30-day window. It is not a live provider-side sales total. eBay shows Syncing… instead of zero until its initial 30-day order backfill has completed.

You can hide individual cards and restore them from Hidden from Control Centre. This is a signed-in user preference, not a disconnect action.

Connecting a channel

  1. Open Control Centre.
  2. Choose the sliders icon on the matching channel card, or use the Connect <channel> from this card. link inside the disconnected card.
  3. Use the connection panel to Connect, Reconnect, Disconnect, or open the Channel's full setup or operational workspace when more room is needed. Disconnect Amazon also deletes your account's stored Amazon Information for that connection; it is not a pause control. Other Channel disconnect actions keep their existing connection-only behaviour.
  4. Check the panel summaries for Orders, Stock updates, and Diagnostics before changing the connection.
  5. Return to the card and verify the pulse card is healthy.

Channel management panels

The sliders panel is the Control Centre home for quick sales-channel connection management. It keeps the operational state beside the action controls and links to full-page setup or review work rather than trying to contain that work in the panel. The same compact panel frame is reused for every Channel, and its content is loaded only after that Channel is selected:

  • Connection: account value, connected-since state, and Connect, Reconnect, Disconnect, or channel-specific settings actions.
  • Orders: whether order import is enabled or waiting for setup.
  • Stock updates: whether stock updates back to the channel are enabled.
  • Diagnostics: current unresolved sync or connection-check status, with the activity icon available for the full event timeline. A failed attempt that is followed by a successful sync of the same operation remains in Events history but no longer leaves the quick panel in a warning state.
  • eBay listings: connecting eBay starts automatic buyer-visible listing discovery and catalogue matching. Refresh now is shown as a recovery action; listings that cannot be matched safely remain marked for review.
  • WooCommerce catalogue and orders: the connection page imports existing products and variations, exact-matches unique SKUs to stock, and can refresh orders changed during the last 30 days. Signed webhooks carry later product and order changes.

Disconnecting clears the account-scoped Channel credentials. It does not delete ChannelWeave Stock, orders, listings, buyers or messages unless a Channel's documented information-lifecycle contract states otherwise.

Health views

Control Centre links to the two operational health summaries:

  • Order health: dispatch health, queue pressure, and order workload by channel
  • Inventory health: demand signals, stock risk, and replenishment priorities

Insights

Activity window and remembered range

The Insights activity window stays visible, even when every check is healthy. Choose Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, or Last 30 days. These are rolling windows, not calendar days: Last 24 hours does not mean midnight onwards. The first visit defaults to Last 7 days. Your selection is remembered for your signed-in user and account in this browser, including after navigating away and returning. It is not an account-wide setting or a cross-device preference. If browser storage is unavailable, an ordinary return uses the seven-day default; the explicit range in the current page URL still survives a reload.

Manual Stock edits and custom rules

The built-in Manual Stock editing activity card counts recorded manual Stock field changes, not saves or mistakes. Configure its account-wide warning and failure thresholds and measurement window in Settings → Insights → Manual Stock edits. Defaults are warning at 8 changes, failure at 20, over 24 hours. The card and sidebar use that saved window independently of the Control Centre date selector. The card shows the applicable window and thresholds; Review manual edits opens the matching Admin Events range.

Optional custom rules retain their own saved windows and do not replace or change the built-in configuration. See Insight settings.

AI assistant summary

The AI assistant summary card sits above the main Control Centre layout and makes the current Insights state explicit. It uses the same account-specific Insights summary already shown on the page; opening Control Centre does not ask ChannelWeave to generate a response. The Orbit icon changes colour as Control Centre refreshes, while the summary text also states the condition:

  • green when the selected range has no warning or failure signals
  • amber when one or more warning signals are present
  • stronger amber when at least one failure signal is present
  • neutral when the Insight summary could not be refreshed

Failures remain explicitly labelled, so the difference between a warning and a failure never depends on colour alone. Red treatments are reserved for destructive actions and their confirmation surfaces.

On desktop, each Insight keeps its status badge beside the title. On mobile, the badge stays at the top right of the heading and longer titles wrap beside it rather than moving the badge below the title.

The AI assistant action uses a success treatment when checks are clear, a warning treatment when attention is required, and a neutral treatment when Insights are unavailable.

The summary reports how many signals need attention in the current view and calls out how many are failures. The activity window applies to windowed built-in checks; current Stock checks and separately configured windows still apply independently.

When every check is healthy, only the results are collapsed. View healthy checks beneath the AI assistant summary reveals them; the activity selector and saved-window explanation remain visible throughout. If a warning or failure appears, the results expand automatically. Rapid range changes only display the latest requested Insights result, not an older response that finishes later.

Ask ChannelWeave what matters opens the existing in-place AI assistant view with the current attention context and suggested follow-up questions. In a clear state, Ask ChannelWeave for today’s brief requests the wider deterministic operations brief. Consequential work is not performed automatically.

The Recent errors detected insight counts unresolved operational failure events, not every audit record that happens to mention an error field. View events opens the Admin Events list with Outcome: Operational failures and the same date range already selected in Control Centre.

Data Exchange import warnings stay visible in Inventory → Data exchange → Activity, but they do not count as Control Centre errors. If a stock import failure is followed by a successful import for the same job, CSV fingerprint, or CSV file name, the earlier import failure is treated as superseded. A later successful Channel sync also clears a failed sync when the customer, entity, Channel, and operation or sync kind match. Both the failed attempt and the successful recovery remain available in Events history.

Outside Control Centre, the compact amber badge follows the same remembered Insights activity window as the page. For example, if Last 24 hours has no warning or failure insights, the badge is hidden when you open Media library. Changing to Last 7 days or Last 30 days also changes the badge's measurement window. Manual Stock edits and custom rules keep their own saved windows, just as they do on the page; current Stock checks also remain current-state checks.

The Control Centre label and its badge are one navigation link and open the same selected range. A valid explicit insights_range=1, 7, or 30 URL also saves that selection in this browser. The badge counts warning plus failure insights, not underlying events: three events in one warning contribute 1. Its tooltip and accessible label name the selected window.

The badge uses a fresh, session-authenticated Insights summary on navigation and relevant Stock/Listing badge refreshes. The fixed-default count returned by the general navigation-badges API is not used to paint this badge. While loading, no old-window number is displayed. An unavailable or invalid response shows ! with an explanatory label, never a false zero. Zero hides the badge. The badge remains hidden on Control Centre itself, where the page shows the detailed view.

Changes to the saved range in another tab update open Control Centre views and sidebar badges for the same user/account. Browser Back/Forward restoration also refreshes the badge against the saved range. Counts can still differ if the underlying signals change between requests.

When warning or fail insights are present, the assistant icon beside Control Centre switches to warning state. The AI assistant opens with a clean input and suggested questions for the current insight set, so users can ask what to check first or focus on a specific warning without editing a long prepared prompt.
