Buyer groups
Create and maintain buyer group structures used by Sales workflows.

What buyer groups are for
Buyer groups make it easier to segment buyers for filtering, reporting, and team workflows.
Use simple groups first, such as trade, retail, wholesale, VIP, or account managed buyers. Add hierarchy only when it reflects how your team actually reviews customers.
What you can do
- Create buyer groups
- Open buyer group detail from the linked group name or group code
- Set parent/child group structure
- Update group names and codes
- Reassign buyers between groups
Use the linked buyer group name or group code to open the detail form. The list does not show a separate action column when the link performs the same navigation.
Buyer group detail
The detail form captures:
- Group code: the short identifier used in lists and lookups.
- Group name: the display name users recognise.
- Parent group: optional hierarchy for reporting and filtering.
- Linked records: read-only counts showing whether buyers or child groups are attached.
Before deleting a buyer group, move linked buyers or child groups elsewhere. When a group is still in use, edit or reorganise it instead of removing it.
