Review and withdraw optional advertising-measurement permission.

Last updated:

Advertising measurement is optional. The separate signup checkbox starts unchecked; leaving it unchecked does not affect your account, plan or access. Accepting the Terms and Privacy Policy does not opt you in.

What the permission covers

The permission covers sharing limited conversion data with Google to measure whether an advert led to a first connected Channel or a paid subscription:

  • the Google Click Identifier (GCLID);
  • the event type and time;
  • any payment value and currency;
  • a stable event identifier to prevent duplicate reporting.

It does not cover your name, email address or phone number, personalised advertising, or changes to the browser's advertising-storage permissions. The existing cookieless browser tag and first-party landing-page diagnostics are separate from this choice.

Permission alone does not trigger an upload. Signup and withdrawal do not send these records to Google. A separate operator-controlled process can share only eligible conversions after checking that permission was granted by the event time and remains active. A pending local record is not proof that Google received a conversion.

Review or withdraw permission

  1. Sign in as the user who created the account at signup.
  2. Open your user menu and select Privacy controls, or go directly to Privacy controls.
  3. If permission is active, select Withdraw measurement permission.

No account-admin role is required. The page remains available if the account's trial has ended or billing needs attention, but normal sign-in, email verification and MFA requirements still apply. Viewing the page or withdrawing does not start a trial.

Withdrawal stops new eligible conversion sharing, including queued local records that used that permission. It does not remove data already received by Google, prevent confirmation of an earlier authorised request, or affect billing or account access. If you cannot sign in, use the privacy contact form.

Existing accounts and earlier choices

Existing accounts and conversion candidates are not treated as having consent. Privacy controls currently let the signup owner withdraw a recorded choice; they do not offer a new opt-in or a way to restore withdrawn permission. Other team members cannot change the signup owner's choice.
