Manage carrier credentials, review fulfilment services, and monitor carrier usage.

Use Shipping as the umbrella page for shipping-related provider setup. The page keeps carriers and fulfilment services separate so the precise terms stay clear:

  • Carriers transport parcels and provide carrier values on orders.
  • Fulfilment services may pick, pack, and dispatch orders, but they are not the carrier.

Carriers

The Carriers section stores customer-owned carrier account details. Royal Mail is currently credential setup only: saving the required fields does not verify them with Royal Mail, buy postage, create labels or produce manifests.

Fulfilment services

The Fulfilment services section is review-only. It is for services that may own the physical pick, pack, and dispatch work while the carrier remains a separate order signal.

  • Amazon Fulfilment, observed through the Amazon channel connection

Amazon Fulfilment does not use customer-held carrier credentials on this page. Use the Amazon channel connection to manage Amazon authorisation, and use Shipping only to review the fulfilment-service signal.

Carrier usage columns

The usage table shows recent order usage by carrier:

  • Carrier key: the carrier value observed on recent sales orders
  • Orders: recent usage for that carrier

Use the table to review carrier values recorded on recent orders. Those values do not prove that stored credentials work or that a carrier API has been used. Fulfilment services do not replace this carrier signal.

Setting up a carrier

  1. Open Shipping.
  2. Choose the carrier provider.
  3. Complete setup with the provider credentials.
  4. Review the saved details. A connected or ready label means the required fields are present, not that Royal Mail has accepted them.

Continue arranging postage through your existing carrier service. For orders you fulfil yourself, use the order's pick list and packing slip, then record the carrier, service and tracking number when marking it shipped. A packing slip is not a postage label.

Amazon readiness indicators on Shipping are review-only. FBA inventory reads and MCF requests do not yet have a self-service dispatch workflow in the app. Discuss your requirements with ChannelWeave before changing your fulfilment process.
