Canonical status meanings across Inventory areas.

Use these meanings consistently in day-to-day operations.

Stock items

  • Active: stock item is in normal use
  • Disabled: stock item is not available for normal assignment/use
  • Low stock: derived signal based on available quantity and reorder level

Bin types

  • Active: available for use
  • Inactive: hidden from normal assignment
  • System badge: reserved system-defined type

Low stock filtered view

Low stock is a calculated Stock items filter, not a manually set lifecycle status or separate inventory form.

Purchase orders

  • Draft: editable header and lines
  • Open: ready for receiving, with no received quantity yet
  • Partially delivered: some lines have been received, but outstanding quantity remains
  • Delivered: all remaining quantity is complete, or the order was explicitly closed as delivered
  • Cancelled: purchasing work on the order has been stopped

Suppliers

  • Active: available for selection on new purchase orders
  • Inactive: hidden from normal new-order selection, but still visible on linked historic purchase orders
